Venue B & BYC Launch Gig
Saturday 25th October / 2-9pm / Free with launch ticket / Drop-in
From the ribbon-cutting to close, we’ll be debuting our incredible new space for gigs and performance with a line-up showcasing the best of the young scene.
From the ribbon-cutting at 2 until 3, New Generation Jazz will be laying down a groove of jazz fusion.
From 4-7pm, we’ll have acoustic and solo sets. Stick around for chilled vibes and some of the best of Brighton’s young singer-songwriters. Stay tuned for the full line-up.
At 7pm, a brief break from the music for a film screening! See the premier of the BYC Tour where young bands were taken on the road to other YIF funded projects to perform at gigs nationwide, and connect and share music in these inspiring spaces.
After the screening, it’s time to have a dance as alt-rock bands take the stage. Stay tuned for the full line-up

Beginner DJ Workshops with DJ Lady E

Come and learn the basics of DJing from expert DJ and tutor, DJ Lady E. A workshop for those who are very new to the craft, this will be a space to get to grips with the fundamentals and find your groove.

Advanced DJ Workshops with Fatboy Slim

Get hands on with one of the most iconic DJs in the world – Fatboy Slim. For those with a bit more experience DJing, this workshop will be the perfect place to hone your skills, develop your sound, and get yourself confident performing. He’ll walk you through pro tips and methods to take your skills with the decks to the next level, exploring the essentials of deck-work and the filter knobs that create his signature sound. .
OFFBEAT: Jazz & Hip-Hop Fusion

BN1 Arts Music Taster Session

For drummers, singers, pianists, guitarists or bassists, enjoy an afternoon led by BN1 Arts, a creative arts college based in central Brighton specialising in Music and Performing Arts.
