Cultureground is back! The award-winning pop-up gallery dedicated to young artists, reframing & challenging pre-conceptions of youth art & the people who produce it. Young artists offer individual & collaborative pieces in a range of media & styles through this open-call exhibition.<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Located in what’s usually our Youth Club 2 room, it’ll be transformed for the week into a gallery hosting a variety of art and making workshops, but also open to those who just want to take a look at the fantastic pieces on display.<\/p>\n

Artistic Spectrum<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n

From Art In Mind, these shared canvas projects explore identity, emotions, and personal stories\u2014each artwork a unique reflection of who they are. These group creations are more than just paintings. They\u2019re a celebration of individuality, connection, and the healing power of creativity.<\/p>\n\n

Chloe Neller Photography<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n

From local youth organisation Esteem, Neller’s photography is inspired by Brighton and growing up by the sea, showing the magic in everyday.<\/p>\n

Clay!<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n

Over the past year, Art in Mind volunteers have led a series of clay workshops with BYC. Young people from both organisations came together to shape, sculpt, and express themselves through clay\u2014creating unique pieces that reflect their stories and imagination.<\/p>\n\n

CORKiE paintings are neon, colourful, and staring retro graffiti style characters, all done with acrylic and spray paint to bring the exhibition hall bursting to life.<\/p>\n

Digital Nostalgia<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n

Against today\u2019s commodified web, this exploration of nostalgia for the early internet reflects a longing for a time when the internet felt more alive and human, inviting us to consider how memory, emotion, and digital culture shape our relationship with technology.<\/p>\n

The Dystopian Society: Vandalism<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n

Through riso prints, screen prints, lino works, and a hand-bound concertina book, iconic sites like Brighton\u2019s Royal Albion Hotel and are reimagined as symbols of neglect and tension.<\/p>\n

A critical yet empathetic exploration of the cosmetic procedures industry\u2014focusing on lip fillers\u2014through zines, posters, a game, and a manual. This work interrogates beauty culture shaped by social media while celebrating personal autonomy and self-expression.<\/p>\n
